Nevada ENERGY STAR® Partners

Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners is a coalition of local residential developers and business partners in collaboration with EPA – who, for the 7th consecutive year, come together annually to promote ENERGY STAR brand.
 
The Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners has grown from 5 partners in 2001 to over 50 partners, including Builders & Business Partners.  The businesses include third party inspectors, trade companies, utility companies, publications, advertising and public relation agencies and mortgage companies.

The partnership pool their funds together annually to create a three month marketing campaign which encompasses a marketing plan of multi media advertising of outdoor billboards & print, website, construction/trade seminars, agent seminars, public relation stories & proclamations from every local municipalities and the State of Nevada that ‘JULY is Nevada ENERGY STAR Month.’
 
Each year has built on the previous and the accomplishments continue to surpass one year to the next. We are proud to announce that The Nevada Energy Star Partners was awarded the National EPA Award in March as ‘Sustained Excellence’ Award. This award recognizes EPA’s partners who have excelled in promoting ENERGY STAR brand, consumer awareness and ENERGY STAR construction.  We are pleased to have been amongst the other 28 Sustained Excellence award winners out of 12,000 EPA ENERGY STAR partners. The Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners have been awarded this for six consecutive years; no other partner holds this achievement.

Our Las Vegas market now holds record awareness and penetration rate, higher than the national rate. We are currently at 90% consumer awareness of the ENERGY STAR brand, and the penetration rate of new homes being built in Las Vegas is now at 67%. We have grown from 91 ENERGY STAR homes to now over 75,000 in our Las Vegas market alone.

Due to the incredible results, the Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners have been asked to spearhead a national pilot program in our Las Vegas market, ENERGY STAR for HIGH RISE Residential Construction.  We are one of three markets to be given this opportunity and look forward to another successful project.  In addition to our annual marketing campaign, we have added several outreach efforts including a GREEN Alliance, CHANGE campaign “How Many Nevadans Does It Take to Change?”, which lines up with us participating in the national EPA campaign by pledging Las Vegas to “Make a Change- Start with ENERGY STAR”.
