WARMINGTON HOMES NEVADA OFFERS ENVIRONMENTALLY
RESPECTFUL FEATURES AT SEVERAL NEW HOME COMMUNITIES
LAS VEGAS, NV — July 2008 — Warmington Homes Nevada offers an array of resource efficient ‘green’ features at all of its single-family new home neighborhoods. Warmington is a member of Nevada ENERGY STAR® partners, a voluntary coalition of Southern Nevada homebuilders, developers, retailers, mortgage providers, energy consultants and local utilities promoting energy conservation. The partnership recently launched its 2008 campaign, “ENERGY STAR – Your Green Foundation.” The three-month awareness-building campaign, funded by contributions from partners, is designed to promote ENERGY STAR brand awareness and energy conservation as an important first step for individuals and corporations committed to “going green.”
While it is widely believed that new homes are 30 to 50 percent more efficient than older homes, the addition of Enery STAR features further enhance the resource- and cost-efficiency of single-family homes, according to Amy Thill, vice president of sales and marketing for Warmington Homes Nevada.
"Meeting Energy Star® standards is just one example of how Warmington is working hard to ensure that its new homes incorporate current best features and practices as they relate to green homebuilding and energy efficiency,” said Thill. “Energy efficiency and a concern for the environment are very pervasive issues in our industry and among new home buyers. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunities we have available to us, such as the Energy Star program, that allow us to address these issues in a very meaningful way.”
Warmington’s Energy-Star rated neighborhoods include Brighton Village, Carlisle Place, Emerson, Mandolin and York Village, where single-family, detached homes are priced from the high-$100,000s. According to Thill, buyers benefit from a beautifully designed, energy-efficient home while enjoying lower utility bills, greater comfort and reduced maintenance.
All Warmington’s Energy Star® rated homes incorporate heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems designed by a registered mechanical engineer for optimal efficiency. Duct work is sealed to improve indoor air quality and reduce dust, pollen and other pollutants. And spectrally selective glass reduces energy loss, fabric fade and energy bills, keeping homes cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Because of their overall energy efficiency, new homes are a viable “green” alternative, and homes with the Energy Star® certified designation have been carefully inspected for quality and program compliance. This ensures that buyers of Energy Star® rated homes get maximum benefit and are ensured the highest level of conservation in a new home equipped with standard features.
“Resource efficiency and conservation is now a regular part of daily life for those who purchase one of Warmington’s environmentally friendly new homes,” Thill said. “These progressive features make it easy to contribute toward reduced energy usage without sacrificing comfort or convenience.”
The upscale eco-friendly amenities and Energy Star® certification offered at Warmington’s Brighton Village, Carlisle Place, Emerson, Mandolin and York Village neighborhoods are in addition to an array of exquisite design features, appointments and architectural elements that promote a luxury lifestyle and low maintenance lifestyle.
